Narratio wins the Compluemprende Award

A little over a year ago, Narratio was just an idea. A question that kept coming back: how can a company trust the data driving its AI decisions if no one can verify whether that data was altered before it got there?

I founded Narratio to answer that question. Not as another AI platform, but as infrastructure: a system that brings traceability and verification to enterprise content across its entire lifecycle, backed by a TrustScore and an explainable Evidence Graph.

Today, Universidad Complutense de Madrid has recognized that work with the Compluemprende 2026 Award for Best Startup.

This recognition comes at a particularly meaningful moment. Narratio wasn’t born only from a business instinct, it also grew out of my doctoral research at UCM, focused on traceability and governance of communication in digital ecosystems. Seeing the same institution behind my thesis now recognize the startup built from that research closes a circle that means a lot to me.

Behind the award is a year of real work: directing the project end-to-end, from product and operations to finance and hiring; closing a €2M round in Spain; entering the US market through a Delaware Flip and earning a place in an exclusive Silicon Valley program with ICEX and SOSA Spain; building our first client relationships in the US. And doing all of it with a small, deeply committed team that believes in the same vision.

This award isn’t a finish line. It’s validation along the way, at a moment when we’re still closing our seed round and expanding our international presence. It confirms something I’ve known from day one: data traceability in AI isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s a structural necessity for any company that wants to make AI-driven decisions responsibly.

Thank you to Universidad Complutense de Madrid for this recognition, and to the whole Narratio team, without whom none of this would be possible. We keep building.
